Yanni and his McBridesmaids are off to their usual shaky start, with losses piling up like unwanted hurricane warnings. And right on cue, Hurricane Milton is making its annual pilgrimage to Florida, turning Yanni’s season into a literal storm of misfortune. It’s as if the fates, quoting Milton’s Paradise Lost, declared, “Long is the way and hard, that out of Hell leads up to light,” with Yanni’s squad hopelessly clawing for the light of the playoffs. Florida, once the Sunshine State, is now his 'Paradise Lost,' where the only thing more reliable than his fantasy defeats is the annual storm surge wiping out his hopes. Still, we genuinely hope Yanni and his chickens weather this storm because, let’s face it, they’re putting up more resistance than his roster ever will.
